The Biltmore Estate is located in Asheville, North Carolina, which has a very small airport. Greenville, South Carolina’s airport is an hour from Asheville and might be the best option if you are planning on flying into town.
From Atlanta:
Asheville, NC is about a 3 1/2 hour drive.
Head North on I-75/I-85 N
Continue on I-85 N via the ramp to Spartanburg
Take I-26 West to I-40 East to exit 50.
Take a left onto Hendersonville Road.
Stay to the left and follow signs to the Biltmore Estate.
Driving from Greenville airport to Biltmore Estate:
Head south on Brockman McClimon Rd toward State Rd S-42-635/Stevens Rd.
Merge onto I-85 North via the ramp to Spartanburg
Take I-26 West to I-40 East to exit 50.
Take a left onto Hendersonville Road.
Stay to the left and follow signs to the Biltmore Estate.
From Houston:
Flights are available into Asheville, NC, but they are not nonstop.
It is much easier to fly into Greenville, South Carolina from Houston.
United flies from IAH (Intercontinental) to GSP (Greenville, SC) nonstop.
Southwest flies from HOU (Hobby) to GSP nonstop.
Other airlines do have flights. Please check your preferred airline for options.
From Pittsburgh/West Virginia:
United flies from PIT (Pittsburgh) to GSP with a stop in DC.
Delta flies from PIT to GSP with a stop in ATL or LGA.
